Through clear, consistent and timely communication, we gain an understanding of your needs, and the best solutions given your specific circumstances. In order to have a deep understanding of your situation. We strive to thoroughly communicate by asking helpful questions, listening to your answers and following up. It is through this practice of patience and understanding that we can identify strategies that move you toward your preferred outcomes and beyond the presenting conflict. For many years, Debra has practiced a form of conflict resolution called compassionate communication, which values connection, deep listening and respectful communications pioneered by Marshall Rosenberg, PhD.
We believe our commitment to these skills and values continually make us better problem solvers and effective negotiators.
We offer mediation services to other attorneys and their clients, hosted at our office or via Zoom conferencing, when required. In a mediation session, like in the rest of our work, listening, patience, curiosity, creativity and respect for our shared humanity are critical. We identify possible solutions that opposing parties may come to see in their mutual interests. It is an honor for our team to be a part of an effort to reach agreement as an alternative to conflict.
